The latest updates adds information on all bridges on the Willamette to Willamette Falls and now includes Sauvie Island Bridge. Also adds information about hot weather and sustained winds closures.
Bridge operators start to examine tracks and roadways for expansion when the temperature is above 90° with closures probable at 100°. Winds sustained above 35 knots can also cause some bridges to remain closed.
All bridge operators state that best practice is to request openings on VHF13. Horn signals from small boats are not audible because of traffic noise.
