SUMMARY:Annual Meeting--It's Virtual
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the annual meeting. Because of Covid restrictions it will be on Zoom. Get together starts at 6:30 with updates from the Board. \nAt 7pm\, Ruth Fitz\, General Manager of Cook Engines Inc\, will speak to us about caring for our diesel engines. \nClick here for the agenda \nHere’s bit of a bio about Ruth Fitz: \nRuth’s grandfather purchased Cook Engine from Mr. Cook in 1962\, and moved Cook Engine from under the sellwood bridge to Vancouver way (where Jubitz is now) and then in 1980 to the location that it now sits.  Ruth was babysat in the office she now works in\, in the 80s. \nRuth says: \nWhen I was 13 yrs old I proclaimed to my grandfather that I was going to be a mechanic and while he may have been skeptical\, as always he held no limits on the women in his life. \nIn 2000 I started working the summers at Cook engine while in high school behind the parts counter and in the office.  After graduating high school in the Gresham area\, I enrolled into Diesel School while continuing to work at Cook Engine. \nThis year I mark 20 years working for my family’s business.  While I do not physically do a lot of wrenching\, I pride myself in being helpful to the technicians\, and my customers. \nOutside of work I stay very busy\, spending time with Family and Friends\, volunteering with Girl Scouts\, fishing\, hunting\, snowmobiling\, water-skiing\, off-roading\, crafting\, woodworking\, gardening\, & hanging out with my goats\, and pets

SUMMARY:Coon Island East Dock -Cruise Cancelled-Dock Still Available
DESCRIPTION:This cruise as a organized event has been cancelled this year due to Covid 19. \nThe dock however is still reserved for CRSA for October 16-18 if anyone would like to take advantage of the location. If you plan on going to Coon Island that weekend for an informal cruise\, please send a notice to other crew members. \n\n\n\nAn Informal cruise is when a CRSA member simply sends an email to:\ncrsa-crew@googlegroups.com inviting any interested members to join them. \n\n\n\nWe suggest the following as standards for CRSA informal cruises: \n1. Wear or have masks ready when walking on docks or on park grounds. \n2. Maintain six feet or more of separation between your bubble and anyone else on the docks. \n3. Take extra consideration when using chairs\, tables or canopies on the docks. These restrict passage and make the six foot separation difficult. If in doubt\, don’t put them out. \nThank you for your understanding in this matter. We all look forward to the end of the restrictions. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Bartlett Landing- Cruise Cancelled - Dock Still Available
DESCRIPTION:Dear Crew\, \nIn our last email we noted that the reservations CRSA has for a September cruise were at Schwitter Landing.  That location has been changed. We have swapped with Rose City Yacht Club.  Now our reservations are at Bartlett Landing. \nTherefore\, if any of you would like to send a notice for an informal cruise for September 18-20\, and take advantage of the fact that a club cruise has been planned for that destination\, please make it for Bartlett Landing rather than Schwitter. \nSincerely\, \nTamme Appel\nCommodore \n\n\n\nAn Informal cruise is when a CRSA member simply sends an email to:\ncrsa-crew@googlegroups.com inviting any interested members to join them. \n\n\n\nWe suggest the following as standards for CRSA informal cruises: \n1. SUMMARY:Rendezvous\, Sand Island Upriver Dock-Cancelled
DESCRIPTION:Dear Crew\, \nIt is with heavy heart that your board has had to make the difficult decision to cancel this year’s CRSA Rendezvous. All who wish to make use of the fact that CRSA is listed for Sand Island upper docks for the weekend of August 21-23\, feel free to have an informal cruise. \nIf you have purchased any Rendezvous logo wear or items\, your board will reimburse you for your purchase if you wish. \nYour board and our sponsor\, Passion Yachts\, have agreed that for the rest of this season\, CRSA will not sponsor any formal cruises or gatherings. Although we know that CRSA crew are responsible and following current pandemic guidelines\, it has become evident that many boaters using the Oregon Marine Park docks are not practicing social distancing or wearing masks. As a boating club we would be associated with this behavior regardless of our own responsible actions. \nWe suggest the following as standards for CRSA informal cruises: \n1.
